Minghella’s may collect data on your behalf for our business activities and will take appropriate steps to ensure its security in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy was reviewed in 2025.
What we do
Minghella’s is a management company (or agency) representing writers and directors working in TV, Film, Theatre, Radio, MiniSeries, and more. Minghella’s clients may work in the UK, EU or internationally.
Why we gather data
When you begin a working relationship with us we will collect and store information about you in order to provide services to you including to communicate with you. If you have any concerns or wish to discuss your data please contact us. You will have the opportunity to withdraw your consent for us to collect your information, but we will assume your consent in line with this policy.
What data we collect from you
Information we may gather from you includes your name, legal address, email address, bank details including VAT number and UTR. Minghella’s might request information from you via email, written correspondence, verbal communication, or over the telephone. We will also store your intellectual property (IP) which may be in the form of scripts, treatments for projects, and ideas. It is in your best interest to keep a record of who you have sent your intellectual property to and clearly label anything you send to us as yours.
How long we retain your data
We will only keep your data for as long as we need to use it to provide services to you. We will review the data we have on file at least once every 10 years. You may contact us at [email protected] with any questions, to check what data we have stored, and request for the data to be deleted. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
What we do with your data
Your information is only used for business purposes. We will not rent or sell your personal information to anyone. We may pass on certain information to people in association with the services we provide but we will take steps to ensure you consent to sharing any of your information. Information such as your email address is usually transmitted through methods that we cannot guarantee the security of. You share information with us at your own risk. Please note also that while we will take steps to reduce the risk of infringement of IP rights in any property that we have in our possession, there will always be a risk of multiple discovery. You share your IP with us at your own risk be it through our [email protected] email or otherwise and we do not accept liability for inadvertent creative similarity between IP sent to us for representation and projects produced by Minghella’s clients.
